Approval is required for any commercial filming or photography undertaken within Wellington Park.
Commercial filming is defined as any filming that is undertaken for a financial consideration, either on consignment for another party, for promotion of a product/service, or to generate content for a monetised social media channel, and includes stills photography for advertising purposes.
Applications for approval must be submitted no later than 14 business days prior to proposed filming. Application fee ($187 from 1 July 2024) and Production Crew Number loading applies. The full fee schedule is outlined in the Filming Guidelines.
- If a drone / Remotely Piloted Aircraft is proposed to be used as part of your filming activity, this permit can now be sought through this single application form. Please read the Drone/RPA Use Guidelines.
- Long Term Filming Agreement holders will require a separate drone/RPA approval for each instance of drone/RPA use over the term of their agreement.
- If your application is for a large production that requires assessment against the Wellington Park Management Plan, an additional Application fee will apply, noting that you will be advised of this prior to the assessment commencing.
- If approved, you will be invoiced for the relevant Production Crew Number loading.
- Application fees are non-refundable.

Drone pilots must hold a current Remote Pilot Licence and commercial operators must also have a RPA Operator's Certificate.
